DefectFix is a platform that connects Clients with Service Providers for handyman and home repair services. Our platform:

• Allows Clients to search for and request services from qualified Service Providers
• Enables Service Providers to offer their services to potential Clients
• Facilitates communication between Clients and Service Providers
• Provides a system for scheduling, payment processing, and service management

DefectFix does not directly provide handyman services. We act as an intermediary platform connecting Clients with independent Service Providers.

6. User Responsibilities

6.1 Client Responsibilities

As a Client using our Service, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information about your service needs
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with Service Providers
• Provide reasonable access to your property as required for service completion
• Pay for services in accordance with the agreed terms
• Provide feedback that is truthful and based on actual experience

6.2 Service Provider Responsibilities

As a Service Provider using our platform, you agree to:

• Maintain all required licenses, permits, and insurance as required by applicable law
• Provide services in a professional, competent manner
• Communicate clearly regarding availability, pricing, and service details
• Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards
• Maintain accurate profile information, including skills, experience, and qualifications
• Respond to service requests in a timely manner

7. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:

• Using the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any local, state, national, or international law
• Harassing, abusing, or threatening others or otherwise violating any person's legal rights
• Impersonating another user, person, or entity
• Interfering with or disrupting the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service

11. Service Booking and Cancellation

When you book a service through DefectFix, you are entering into an agreement with the Service Provider, not with DefectFix. We act as a facilitator and are not responsible for the actual performance of services.

Cancellation policies may vary by Service Provider. The specific cancellation policy applicable to your booking will be displayed before you confirm the service.

DefectFix reserves the right to cancel any service booking if we have reason to believe that the booking violates our Terms or may result in illegal activity.

12. Reviews and Ratings

Our Service allows users to rate and review Service Providers. All reviews must be honest, accurate, and based on actual experience with the Service Provider.

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, or defamatory reviews
• Use reviews as a means of harassment or extortion
• Post reviews that contain offensive, abusive, or inappropriate language
• Post reviews that violate any person's privacy rights

14. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

14.1 Service Disclaimer

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. DefectFix expressly disclaims all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

DefectFix makes no warranty that:

DefectFix is not responsible for the conduct, acts, or omissions of any Service Provider or Client. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of services offered by Service Providers.

While we may conduct basic verification of Service Providers, we do not guarantee their qualifications, experience, or ability to perform specific tasks. Clients are responsible for verifying a Service Provider's qualifications and suitability for their specific needs.

14.3 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall DefectFix, its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses
• Any damages resulting from the conduct of Service Providers or Clients
• Any damages resulting from the performance or non-performance of services arranged through our platform
• Any damages resulting from interruption of service or inability to access the Service
• Any damages resulting from unauthorized access to or use of our servers and/or any personal information stored therein

In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims exceed the amount paid by you to DefectFix during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the liability.

This limitation of liability section applies whether the alleged liability is based on contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other basis, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damage.

15. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless DefectFix, its parent company, directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to:

If mediation is unsuccessful, any legal action or proceedings arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts of the United Kingdom, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

18. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
